Many moms don't like dieting because it keeps them from enjoying their favorite food. Disciplining yourself not to eat the food that you love is really hard. This is specifically true when eating them helps you find joy in the midst of your parenting challenges. Here are some ways which can help you stay healthy by making healthy food choices.
Take it one step at a time. Overhauling your diet over night is not advisable. Move toward a healthy diet step-by-step. For example, you can start with dropping your caffeine addiction. Instead of coffee, drink water only or just choose special occasions when you'll drink coffee. Then, move to dealing with your junk food addiction.
Choose the food you love. You need not quit eating meat just to be healthy. Choose the healthy counterpart of food that you love to eat. If you're a fan of pork, you might want to leave out its fat parts which cause health risks.
Pack your lunch or snacks. Bringing your own food to work will keep you from consuming unhealthy food sold in most joints and restos. Pack veggie sticks and fruit slices to keep you nourished for the whole day. You will be surprised that you won't crave for junk food and sugary food once you get used to consuming only your packed food.
Don't starve yourself. Eat before you leave home for work or for any activity that will cause you to use up a lot of energy. When you're hungry, you will jump on any food you see and you won't stop to consider whether it's healthy or not.
